Wednesday, February 21, 2007 Here we are, speeding (meandering really) across the New Mexico – Texas border, about to begin our long trek across the very large Lone-Star state. We have been on the road for around a month. We have encountered all sorts of cool sights, roadways, we have broken down a couple of times, and we have met up with a number of family members and friends along the route. We know that we have left that all behind, when a old-man Texan commented on the way I was carrying Isaac (on the hip) and that I was in trouble for not carrying the baby like a real Texan man (sack of potatoes)! This coming from a cowboy who has probably never left the sleepy town from whence he came, a town that features the world’s largest road-runner as it’s primary attraction. We would like to begin by bringing “y’all” up to date as to where we have been, and to write about where we are about to go, from the very beginning with our December 15 departure out of Vancouver, British Columbia. With the creative help of Hannah Portello-Swagel, we plan to document our voyage by recording the date, location, impressions, and pictures of our adventures. Check back to the site over the next several weeks to see what we’re up to and send us a message when you have the chance. Click on the cities below to read about our journey, see pics, and more. Enjoy!
